Family and Child Counselling
Nothing can be more heartbreaking for parents than seeing their children struggle with the challenges of growing up and adapting to things like new schools, separation, divorce or getting along with others. Stress can affect children in different ways and can cause behavioural problems and/or symptoms like anxiety, and depression. Counselling can help parents and children in gaining relief, feeling calmer, reducing stress and strengthening parent child relationships.
Counselling helps with issues such as parenting, blended family relationships, separation and divorce, parent/child conflict, teen problems among others. Many of our parents and families have found our Parenting Groups and Groups for Children and Youth helpful.

Single Session Consultation
Single Session Consultation allows you to be seen sooner as generally there is no waitlist for this service. This service can help you to bridge the gap between waiting for services and finding answers to some of your more immediate concerns. Single Session Consultation takes 1 to 1 ½ hours in total and you will be asked to complete a questionnaire when you arrive and again when you complete your session.
The Consultation is aimed at helping you to clarify your situation, learn more about resources available to you and gain the strategies or tools necessary to address your concerns. A professionally trained counsellor will assist you to create a focus that will yield positive results. A fee of $120.00 is required. The sliding fee scale does not apply but fees may be covered by your insurance or employee assistance plan.
